I just finished my first Iyanden Wraithguard. I will have a squad of at least 10 of these things in my Iyanden Army, led by a spirit seer. I know, it is super expensive, and they only have a 12 inch range... but it's IYANDEN! I have to use them. Besides, I love the models. This one was painted using Iyanden Darksun, washed with Gryph Sepia, then layered with 3 different yellows, then highlighted with a 50/50 yellow/white mix, then extreme with white. The gems were done with Red gore, blood red, blazing orange, firey orange and highlighted with white. I did the rune by hand, painting it Space wolf grey first, then white, then giving it a drop shadow with black. The flame was Darksun with yellow then white. I varnished the entire model with Valejo Satin Varnish. I hit the gems with gloss.
Only nine more! I think I will do the next one using just yellow on white, then washing with sepia, then hitting with more layers of yellow. I think it will be faster, but still give a nice effect.
